About the role

The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repairs on Locomotives and associated equipment within the facility to required standards.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings.

  • Overhauls

  • High level communications and interpersonal skills

  • High level problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability and willingness to further their knowledge and skills with additional training

  • Knowledge and understanding of diesel/electric locomotives desirable

  • Have permanent work rights with no restrictions

Positions available for Qualified Tradesmen and / or 3rd / 4th year Apprentices

Skills and experience

  • Trade qualifications (Mechanical or other related disciplines).

  • Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance (preferred)
